Thread your jewelry wire through this gold-filled cable and stringing thimble to protect it from rubbing against the clasp. The thimble hole diameter is .031″ (0.79 mm). This should allow for use with a jewelry wire of up to 24 gauge. Cable thimbles are also known as wire guardians and make wonderful finishing touches that will give your jewelry designs a professional feel. Simple slide the wire guardian after a crimp, then bring your wire through the other side of the wire guardian and back through the crimp.
How to Use Wire Protectors
- String the cable thimble onto the cord.
- Loop the cord back through the other side of the cable thimble.
- String the clasp onto the cord & thimble.
- Crimp cording together.
